Teenager appears in court after heroin, cocaine and cannabis seized in Tweedbank
A teenager's appeared in court in the Scottish Borders in connection with the discovery of drugs estimated to be worth almost £60,000.
Heroin, cocaine and cannabis were seized by police during a stop and search in Tweedbank on Tuesday, along with two bladed weapons, an imitation gun and a three-figure sum of cash.
A 19-year-old man from Glasgow has appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court today (Wednesday) in connection with the discovery.
Frankie Stanbridge is facing a total of six charges.
As well as three counts of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, the teenager is also charged with carrying a firearm in a public place; being in possession of a bladed article; and having an offensive weapon in a public place.
He made no plea, was committed for further examination, and remanded in custody.
Stanbridge is due to appear back in court within the next eight days.

Commenting on the seizure, believed to be worth £57,060, Detective Constable Callum Wood, from Police Scotland, said: “We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the sale of illegal substances and preventing them being circulated on our streets.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and action like this is only possible through the continued support of the public.
