A 35-year-old man's made a second court appearance in the Borders charged in connection with directing serious organised crime.

It comes after police announced the seizure of £670,000 worth of drugs - including cocaine and heroin - during a 15-day operation earlier this month.

A total of 11 people have been arrested in connection with the haul.

Chris Ferguson, from Galashiels, faced three charges when he appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court (pictured top) earlier.

As well as being accused of being involved in directing serious organised crime, he also faces two charges of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Ferguson - who made an initial court appearance at Selkirk last week - made no plea during the private hearing.

He was fully committed for trial, and remanded in custody pending his next court date.
