A pensioner has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at the Covid testing centre in Galashiels.

Philip Massey, from Peebles, was alleged to have committed three offences in Langlee Community Centre in June 2021.

The 76-year-old pled not guilty to all three charges and was acquitted following a trial held over two days at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

During the trial, the court heard Massey had already been cleared of any wrongdoing by his employers following an internal investigation, and allowed to return to work.
