A 25-year-old man from Galashiels has today (Monday) admitted being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

It follows the seizure of 4.8 ounces of cannabis - said to be worth between £1,000 and £2,000 - at an address in Selkirk's Linglie Road on April 20th.

Sentence has been deferred on Macaulay Kerr until next month for background reports.

Sheriff Peter Paterson warned him it is an "extremely serious matter".

The case will recall at Selkirk Sheriff Court on September 2nd.

Meanwhile, Kerr's co-accused Kane McHutchison had his not guilty plea accepted by the Crown.
