Police seize vehicle during clampdown on road traffic offences in Jedburgh

Police have revealed they seized a vehicle in Jedburgh for having no insurance and another driver was given a fixed penalty ticket for having no MOT.

More than a hundred drivers were stopped on the A68 during the road traffic operation on Tuesday.

A further 23 drivers were given advice or ordered to sort problems with tyres, lights, documentation or tinted windows within 21 days.

A police spokesperson said: "On Tuesday, 25 April, the Scottish Borders Community Action Team officers carried out road checks on the A68 in Jedburgh, assisted by the Roads Policing Department.

"A total of 124 vehicles were stopped."
