Police appeal following attempted housebreaking in Peebles

Detectives are appealing for information after an attempted housebreaking in Peebles.

A home in Edderston Ridge Park was targeted around 2.30am this morning (Wednesday).

It's believed the would-be thieves were travelling in a dark-coloured car, and anyone with camera footage from the area is being asked to contact Police Scotland.

Detective Constable Ashley Black said: “Our enquiries are continuing and we have been gathering CCTV footage from in and around the local area to assist our investigation.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who has any information or personal footage that may help our enquiries to contact 101, quoting incident number 0339 of Wednesday, June 14th."
