A man's been treated in hospital after being attacked by a gang of youths, who robbed him of a bag of alcohol, in Peebles.
The 42-year-old was walking with a 54-year-old woman near the town centre when they were approached and threatened.
It happened on a path leading from the pedestrian bridge on the Cuddyside towards March Street around 10.05pm on Friday.
The man who was assaulted attended at Borders General Hospital and received treatment to a number of injuries. The woman was uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
A spokesperson said: "Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and anyone who believes they may be able to help can call 101, quoting reference 3114 of 8 July, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

It's the second attack of its kind in the area in recent weeks.
Last month, at the end of the town's Beltane Week celebrations, a 36-year-old had his wallet stolen after being approached and assaulted by a group of youths - some believed to be as young as 14 - in the town's Victoria Park.
The victim - who's not been named - was taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital as a precaution but has since been discharged.

The attacks follow complaints of a series of incidents of anti-social behaviour involving youths in the area.
One concerned resident said at the time: "These delinquents are causing havoc in this town to the point where some people are scared to go out at certain times. The lack of the police presence in Peebles has left it a free for all for these idiots!"
