Two more teenagers have been charged in connection with a robbery in Peebles earlier this month.

A 42-year-old man was walking with a woman in the Cuddyside area of town on July the 7th when he was allegedly attacked and robbed of a bag of alcohol.

Police have today confirmed a 16-year-old boy and a man, aged 18, have been charged in connection with the incident.

It follows the arrest of a 14-year-old boy.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The incident took place around 10.05pm on Friday, July 7th, 2023, on a path leading from the pedestrian bridge on the Cuddyside towards March Street.

"A 14-year-old boy was also previously charged in connection with the robbery.

"Reports will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and Children’s Reporter."
