Police are appealing for information after two e-bikes were stolen during a break-in at a home in Peebles.

Officers believe the theft - in the town's Whitehaugh Park - took place sometime between 4pm and 6pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 11th).

It comes just weeks after four bikes worth almost £10,000 were stolen from vehicles in the Innerleithen Road area - on the opposite bank of the River Tweed.

The first e-bike is described as black with bright blue pedals, and has the brand name “SPECIALIZED” in white text across the frame.

The second e-bike is described as orange with black pedals, and has the word “VOODOO” in text across the battery box and frame.

Detective Constable Bernard Hennessey, from Police Scotland, said: “We are appealing for anyone with information on this break-in, or who may have seen either of the e-bikes since the time of the theft, to please come forward.

“You can call police on 101, quoting incident 2892 of December 11th, 2024. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
