Man admits raping girl, 12, at Galashiels beauty spot
A 19-year-old man has admitted raping a 12-year-old girl at a community woodland in Galashiels.
Myles Harris - who gave an address in Canterbury, Kent - committed the offence at the town's Gala Policies on January the 16th last year.
The teenager was 18 at the time.
Sentence was deferred at the High Court in Edinburgh today (Thursday) for background reports, and he was remanded in custody meantime.
The case is due to recall on June the 7th.
