Some of the Borders best-known rugby stars have taken centre stage during a day of celebrations marking Murrayfield's centenary.
Current head coach Gregor Townsend joined fellow Maroon Chris Paterson, Selkirk's John Rutherford and Kelso's Ross Ford in a showcase of players through the ages, at the home of Scottish Rugby.
Others in attendance at the event in Edinburgh included Julie Beavon, granddaughter of 1925 Grand Slam hero Jimmy Nelson; at 98, Scotland’s oldest living internationalist, Lorn Cowie, accompanied by his grandson Tom; British & Irish Lions hero David Rollo; and Scott Hastings.
Malcolm Changleng and Rob Dickson were also among eight referees to receive retrospective caps for officiating a Test match, while pupils from Kelso High School were invited to take part in a festival aimed at growing the sport's future.
Former Scotland internationalist Adam Roxburgh was also named volunteer of the season for youth rugby in the Borders and East Lothian Region, for his work coaching youngsters in Kelso.

Congratulating him on his success, a spokesperson for the Poynder Park side said: "Over the years Adam has put in countless hours to help develop players right across our pathway from Kelso Cougars to Kelso Harlequins.
"Roxy has played at the highest level representing Scotland on eight occasions, it’s great to have someone in the club who is willing to pass on their knowledge and experience to our players.
"The biggest thing about Roxy is his willingness to learn and develop. He has attended many club and Scottish Rugby CPD opportunities to develop him as a coach and a create a better experience for the players he is working with."
