Police name man who died following crash near Moffat

Police have named a man who died on the A74 near Moffat earlier this month.

Thomas Hein (pictured) was the sole occupant of an HGV which was involved in a crash near junction 15, around 2.05pm on Friday, July 14th.

The road was closed to allow for an investigation and reopened around 3am the following day.

Investigations are continuing into the death of the 25-year-old, from Baden-WĂĽrttemberg in Germany.

And police are appealing to anyone with information which has not yet been passed to police can call 101, quoting reference 1888 of July 14th.
