Tributes paid to 'perfect son' from Langholm following fatal crash
Police have named a 22-year-old man who died following a fatal crash in Dumfries and Galloway earlier this month.
Lewis Chapman, from Langholm, was a passenger in a grey Range Rover when it was involved in a collision on the B6357 near Annan.
In a statement released through Police Scotland this morning (Monday), his family have described him as "the perfect son, and a credit to everyone who knew him."
It adds: "He's left an irreplaceable void in his devoted family's life and will be sorely missed by all.”
The tragedy unfolded around 8.25pm on Friday, December 13th on a road which stretches as far as Jedburgh.
The driver of the car, a 38-year-old man, was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police said he was later arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences and released pending further inquiries. They have appealed for information.
Another passenger, a 39-year-old man, was taken to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle as a precaution.
