Almost £300 worth of vapes stolen during smash and grab raid on Kelso store

Almost £300 worth of vapes have been stolen during a smash and grab raid on a store in Kelso.

The window of the Semi-Chem in Roxburgh Street was broken during the early hours of Monday morning (April 1st).

It comes just weeks after a robbery at the Co-op store in Kelso's High Croft.

Police are appealing for information.

A spokesperson for the force said: "A person has smashed an external window and entered the store just before 2.30am, stealing a quantity of vapes.

"The estimated value of the stolen goods is almost £300.

"Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area, or has been offered vapes to buy, should report this to police via 101.

"Those with information on the incident should quote incident number 0436 of 1 April 2024. An anonymous report can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
