A 35-year-old man's admitted attacking a woman in Kelso to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

Daniel Hamilton - who gave an address in Galashiels - PUNCHED his victim on the head and KICKED and BIT her on the body.

He also pled guilty to breaching a non-harassment order by being in the company of another woman, when he appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today.

Both offences took place in Roxburgh Street in Kelso on March the 19th last year.

Sheriff Peter Paterson deferred sentence for background reports until March the 25th, to see if there is any alternative to custody, and he was released on bail meantime.
