Court hears man covered inside of flat in lighter fluid during major disturbance
A court's been hearing how a man covered the interior of his home in lighter fluid during a major disturbance in Jedburgh, which saw armed police surround a property in the town's Grieve Avenue.
Several emergency vehicles sealed off the residential street during the stand-off on September the 17th this year.
Adam Redpath today (Monday) - on his birthday - admitted acting in an aggressive and threatening manner when he appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
As well as making offensive remarks and threatening to harm people, the court heard the 22-year-old attended at an open window in possession of a knife and cut himself.

Redpath's solicitor, Ross Dow, said his client has mental health issues and his behaviour was a "cry for help".
Sentence has been deferred until next month for background reports, and Redpath has been released on bail meantime.
He must stay at the property in Glendinning Terrace, Galashiels, between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
