Man taken to hospital after overturned lorry blocks A68

A man's been taken to hospital following reports of an overturned lorry on the A68 near Jedburgh.
The road was closed after the alarm was raised around 6.20am this morning (Wednesday).
Police say traffic is being diverted on the cross-border route while the vehicle is recovered.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of an overturned lorry on the A68 at Bonjedward near Jedburgh around 6.20am on Wednesday, October 4th.
"One man has been taken to hospital for treatment. Recovery is being arranged for the vehicle and the road is currently closed."

It's understood the lorry overturned near the road works at the Riverside, near the town's rugby club.
Borders Buses has been forced to cancel some services as traffic is diverted, between the Bonjedward turn-off and Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
A spokesperson for the local bus operator added: "Police Scotland have closed the A68 at the junction with A698 Denholm road, this means the 68 service will terminate and leave from Ancrum."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 6.26am to attend a one-vehicle road traffic incident in Jedburgh. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Borders General Hospital.”
