An online crowd-funder has been launched in support of a footballer left fighting for his life in hospital following a suspected hit-and-run in Berwick.
And has raised more than £6,000 in less than 24 hours.
Jack Forster - who plays for East of Scotland League side Coldstream - had been out celebrating the New Year when a car is alleged to have mounted the pavement and struck him.
He was rushed to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle following the incident, which unfolded in the town's Marygate around 12.30am on Wednesday (January 1st).
Work colleague Nicole Ainslie, who set-up the JustGiving page, said: "Jack is under the ITU department's critical care team as he has life-threatening injuries and is still in a coma.
"As many will know, Jack is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and does not deserve to be in the situation that he is currently in, a local football player who has played for both Tweedmouth Rangers and Coldstream as well as coming through the ranks of Berwick Juniors.
"All money raised from this will be given to the family to help with costs, as well as help towards getting Jack well again."

This weekend's football match between Coldstream and Peebles was postponed while Jack's teammates came to terms with the news, which officials say has left everyone at the club shocked.
His former teammates at Tweedmouth Rangers wore special shirts, sporting pictures of their former number eight, at an indoor training session on Saturday, in a show of solidarity.

Jack's family say they've been "overwhelmed" by the support they've been shown, and they're urging anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting log number NP-20250101-0040. Those able to upload doorbell or dashcam footage can click here.
