Police renew appeal for missing man following sighting in Innerleithen

Police are renewing their appeal for information in their search for a 45-year-old man in the Scottish Borders.

Victor Cunningham was first reported missing from Newtown St Boswells just over a week ago.

But a new sighting has been reported in the Innerleithen area on Wednesday.

Victor is described as being white, around 5ft 9 inches in height, and of slim build. He has short dark hair and usually wears glasses.

He may be wearing a black jacket with a logo with white writing on the left-hand side of the chest area, grey work trousers with black knee pads, black trainers, and black beanie hat with green logo on front.

Inspector Colin Deans, from Police Scotland, said: “Concerns are ongoing for the welfare of Victor and we would appeal to anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.

"Victor has links in the Peebles and Innerleithen areas so we would ask anyone with any information to please get in touch with police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1283 of Wednesday, November 13th, 2024.
