Two young mountain bikers injured in separate incidents - moments apart - at Glentress
Two young mountain bikers were rushed to hospital following two separate crashes - just moments apart - at Glentress at the weekend.
Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team was called out to the first incident shortly before 1.30pm on Sunday.
They were asked to help with the treatment and evacuation of the rider on the new red trails, when the second incident unfolded right in front of them.
The first casualty was taken by ambulance to hospital in Edinburgh, while the second was transported to Borders General Hospital.
The double call-out marks a busy end to what has been one of the mountain rescue team's busiest years, with many of the call-outs mountain bike related.

October was the team's busiest month on record - with volunteers spending almost 400 hours attending 13 incidents. They included missing person searches, evacuating hillwalkers and treating injured mountain bikers.
A spokesperson said the figures reflected the "wide range of work" the group carries out and the "significant geographical spread of our patch".
"Each incident takes team members away from their families, jobs and other responsibilities," they added.
"As a charity, we rely on donations to keep operating and providing a life-saving service. Please give generously if you are able."
