A 26-year-old man has admitted being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs in Hawick.
It comes after police seized heroin worth £7,380 from his home, in the town's Galalaw Road on June the 30th last year.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court today (Monday) heard Corey Gold was found with six wraps of brown powder, of varying weights, when officers searched the property.
Sheriff Peter Paterson warned him it is "an extremely serious matter" - and deferred sentence until next month for background reports, and to see if there is any alternative to custody.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man caught growing cannabis at his home in Eyemouth has been ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
Police found 15 "nursery-sized" plants worth up to £6,000 when they raided Blake Mitchell's home in Callercove Crescent on September 30th last year.
They also seized various paraphernalia, including tents, humidifiers, fans, and thermometers.
Mitchell admitted a charge of producing a controlled drug when he appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court earlier.
His solicitor, Mat Patrick, said the Class B drug assisted his client in "refraining from higher category drugs that he used to consume".
Sheriff Peter Paterson warned Mitchell growing cannabis was not lawful and the sentence was a direct alternative to custody.
