Police reveal 'enquiries ongoing' after drugs seized from address in Hawick

Police have revealed cocaine and cannabis believed to be worth a five-figure sum have been seized following a raid on an address in Hawick at the weekend.

Officers swooped on a residential property in McLagan Drive - in the town's Burnfoot area - early on Friday morning.

They were suppported by Police Dog Freddie.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "On the morning of Friday, December 20th, local officers along with specialist resources, including Police Dog Freddie, executed a drugs search warrant in Burnfoot, Hawick.

"A quantity of controlled drugs were recovered and enquiries are ongoing.

"If you are aware of drug dealing in your community, please contact us on 101 or report it via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
