Police launch probe after man found 'injured and unconscious' in Hawick

An investigation has been launched after a 62-year-old man was found "injured and unconscious" near a busy roundabout in Hawick.
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene - near Teviotdale Leisure Centre - after the alarm was raised around 10.20pm last night (Saturday).
And the casualty was taken to hospital in Edinburgh for treatment.
A footpath linking Mansfield Road with the bridge over the River Teviot, was sealed off by police.
And a white tent - similar to those used by forensics - was erected overnight as officers examined the scene.
The cordon - not far from Morrisons supermarket - remained in place on Sunday morning,
However, traffic on the neighbouring A7 remains unaffected, with the site partially obscured from the road by bushes.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.20pm on Saturday (August 9th), police received a report of a man found injured and unconscious on Mansfield Road, Hawick.
"Emergency services attended and the 62-year-old man was taken to hospital in Edinburgh.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
