Man, 35, left 'badly shaken' after being robbed by two men in Hawick

The incident happened in the town's Havelock Street - near to where a cannabis farm was unearthed earlier this year.

A 35-year-old man has been left badly shaken after being robbed of a two-figure sum of cash in Hawick.

The victim was walking in the town's Havelock Street when he was threatened by two men around 7.30pm on Tuesday evening (July 23rd).

Police are keen to speak to a woman driving a white Audi who stopped to help.

Detective Constable Claire White said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the two men responsible and I’d appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed this take place, or any drivers with dashcam footage to get in touch.

"We are keen to trace the female driver of a white Audi who stopped to assist the victim at the time.

“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 3636 of July 23rd. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
