Three men in court after drugs worth thousands seized in Hawick

A 50-year-old man has admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis after being caught with almost two kilos of the Class B drug in Hawick.
It follows a police search of a property in the town's Eildon Road on January the 27th this year.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court heard the illicit haul - said to weigh 1,873g - was estimated to be worth between £7,675 and £18,710.
Paul Richardson, who gave an address in Galashiels, pled guilty to the charge when he appeared in the dock today.
Co-accused Andrew Mercer, a 51-year-old from Hawick, pled guilty to possession of around £150 worth of amphetamine - also a Class B drug - on the same date.
Sentence has been deferred until next month for background reports.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, cocaine worth a five figure sum has been seized by police at another address in Hawick.
Polish national Dawid Thamm has pled guilty to a charge of possession of the Class A drug with intent to supply, at an address in Ruberslaw Road and elsewhere, between November the 29th, 2019 and January 11th, 2022.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court heard 105g of the drug with a potential street value of £10,400 was found at the property.
Sentence has been deferred for background reports until November the 4th.
