Man caught carrying out solo sex act on himself in crowded Hawick pub

Jedburgh Sheriff Court's been hearing how a 38-year-old man caught carrying out a sex act on himself in a crowded Hawick pub turned to three teenage girls next to him and said: "This is for you!"

Gavin Scott today (Monday) admitted intentionally exposing himself to three 17-year-olds at the Drumlanrig Bar on April the 15th this year.

The court heard the group, who were seated at a table close to the door, were left "upset and distressed" by what they saw.

But Scott - who gave an address at The Kennels, Abbotrule, Bonchester Bridge - was said to have been "heavily intoxicated" and has no recollection of the incident.

Sentence has been deferred until July the 3rd for background reports, and he's been placed on the Sex Offenders Register meantime.
