A 23-year-old man is due to appear in court next month in connection with a disturbance at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park near Berwick.

Police were scrambled to the Northumberland visitor attraction around 9pm last night (Sunday) following reports of "a big fight" in the lounge bar.

A helicopter, which had been searching for a missing person in the Alnwick area, was also drafted in to help.

Officers say the incident was contained and there was no wider risk to the public.

“The 53-year-old man was later released with no further action to be taken.

“The 23-year-old man has since been charged with fear/provocation of violence and is scheduled to appear before court next month.
