A special convoy will make its way through the Borders on Tuesday lunchtime (August 8th) in tribute to a local car enthusiast who died suddenly at home last month - aged just 20.
In a statement released to Greatest Hits Radio, Greig Lothian's family have described the former Selkirk High School pupil as "a lovely boy with a heart of gold, and a fabulous smile", adding their lives "will never be the same again".
His parents will lead the procession - entitled "one last ride" - in their son's Seat Leon, and family and friends are invited to follow.
Setting off from his home on Raeburn Lane at midday, it will then make its way to Scott's View, via Gattonside - pausing briefly at the Borders beauty spot - before returning to Selkirk for his funeral at Shawfield Cemetery, at 1.30pm.
"There will be no formal dress code; football shirts and scarves can also be worn," David Hardie & Son Funeral Directors announced in a public notice of the service for the "much-loved son, brother, boyfriend, grandson, uncle and nephew".

Hibs supporters have also paid tribute to Greig, who it was said could often be seen with family and friends at games involving in the Edinburgh club, although it was noted "cars and girls" were "more his thing" in recent years.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of the sudden death of a 20-year-old man in the Raeburn Lane area of Selkirk around 10.30am on Monday, July 24th, 2023.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
