Man charged with threatening to petrol bomb Galashiels pub

A 33-year-old man has been charged with threatening to set fire to a pub in Galashiels - and petrol bomb it.
Michael Hartley is also alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards staff at the Salmon Inn.
It's claimed he shouted and swore, and refused to leave the licensed premises when asked.
The incident's alleged to have taken place at the Bank Street bar on August 26th, last year.

Hartley, of Meigle Street, Galashiels, is also charged with throwing and kicking garden tables and chairs around at the same venue on the same date - damaging a table.
Hartley's case called at Selkirk Sheriff Court this afternoon (Monday), when it was continued without plea until April the 19th.
