Police have revealed they're investigating a report of an assault at St Peter's Primary School in Galashiels.

It follows an incident which is alleged to have happened on Thursday, April 20th.

The latest report being presented to community councillors also reveals a school liaison officer is dealing with a separate report of an assault in the town's Bank Street three days earlier.

Seven youths have also been reported for "disorder offences" following the visit of the funfair at Galashiels and Peebles last month, while six have been issued warning letters following reports of anti-social behaviour at the former Borders College site in Melrose Road, Galashiels.

Five assaults have also been reported in a single street in Galashiels in eight days last month. Police revealed enquiries are ongoing into at least one of the incidents in Croft Street, where damage was also reported to a door.
