Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted at a property in Galashiels over the weekend.

Both men - aged 20 and 31 - needed hospital treatment following the incident, which unfolded in the Glendinning Terrace area of town around 1.20am, yesterday (Saturday).

It's the latest in a series of assaults in the region, and comes seven days after a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital with "a serious injury" after being attacked by two men at a bus stop in St Boswells.

Detective Constable Liam Myers, of Police Scotland, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who saw or heard anything to get in touch.

“If you can help please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 0515 of Saturday, October 11th, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
