Police say several people have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash outside a primary school in Galashiels.
A section of the A7 was closed for several hours following the incident, which happened shortly before 11am this morning (Thursday).
It unfolded near the gates of St Peter's Primary School on Abbotsford Road.
Three ambulances were among the emergency services to respond.
An air ambulance was also called out from Glasgow, but turned back around Blyth Bridge.

The closure of the cross-border route led to long tailbacks throughout the town. A number of bus services were also affected.
But the road has now reopened.
Crash investigators were seen surveying the wreckage this afternoon.
Officers say enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 10:56 hours to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Abbotsford Road, Galashiels.
"We dispatched two ambulances, one trauma team and one air ambulance to the scene.
"Four patients were transported to Borders General Hospital.”
