Equipment worth more than £10k stolen during Berwickshire farm raids
Thousands of pounds worth of farming gear has been stolen during two break-ins in one night in Berwickshire.
A five-figure sum of mechanical and electrical equipment was taken during a raid on one farm in the Coldstream area - near the A6112 road - around 11pm on Sunday, while a four-figure sum of property was taken from another farm nearby.
Police are treating the incidents as linked and appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Constable Claire White, from Police Scotland, said: “I’m appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area between Sunday evening and Monday morning to contact us.
“If you have private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage, please also review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.
“Officers carry out regular patrols of the area but I would urge farmers to remain vigilant and contact us if you have any concerns.”

Around the same time, Berwick Rangers Football Club's home ground - which is less than 10 miles from Chirnside - was also raided, with a large amount of club merchandise stolen.
