Police Scotland has confirmed one of its vehicles was involved in an early-morning crash in Eyemouth this morning (Friday).

But officials say it wasn't involved in a pursuit at the time.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the smash, which resulted in the closure of a section of Coldingham Road.

There are no reported injuries, but one eyewitness said there was "a lot of damage".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Coldingham Road, between Victoria Road and Upper Houndlow, in Eyemouth is closed due to a crash which happened at 6.20am on Friday.

"A 38-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man have been arrested in connection."
