'Act now!' Flood warning issued for Eyemouth
Barriers are being deployed in Eyemouth to protect homes and businesses from flooding.
It comes after the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) issued a flood warning for the area.
It says, businesses near to the harbour and vessels moored within the harbour may be at risk.
And locals are being urged to act now to secure their property, with sandbags being distributed from the fire station on Coldingham Road.
The alert reads: "A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding is possible from the sea.
"Wave overtopping is expected around the time of high tides from 4pm on Friday (October 24th) until Sunday evening, with increased risk of flooding impacts at 5.19am on Saturday (October 25th)."
It adds: "As a result of the flood risk, barriers are being deployed in Eyemouth. This will result in the closure of Harbour Road between Marine Parade and The Ship Inn."

Meanwhile, the rest of the Scottish Borders has been placed on flood alert - due to a combination of large waves and strong winds.
According to SEPA, there is also a risk of flooding to low lying areas along the coast due to wave overtopping and spray.
Furthermore, it warns, a spell of heavy and persistent rain could cause minor isolated flooding from surface water and rivers.
