Police have named a man who died, along with his dog, following a collision with a car on the A1 - as officers issue a renewed appeal for information.
David Loyd Bates, from Eyemouth - affectionately known a Loyd, or Buzzer - was 49-years-old.
He is described as a "beloved son, dad, grandad and good friend to many".
It was reported a yellow Citroën DS3 had been travelling north from the Morrisons roundabout in Berwick, when it has struck him and his Cocker Spaniel on the road.
The incident unfolded on the English side of the Scotland-England border around 7.40pm on Wednesday, January 29th.
Mr Bates's family continue to receive support from specially-trained officers.
The driver of the Citroën stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
