The flood barriers are being deployed in Eyemouth amid concerns over wave overtopping along the Berwickshire coast.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has issued a flood warning for the area ahead of this afternoon's high tide at 2.30pm.

Local residents and businesses are being advised to act now to protect their property, with sandbags available from the nearby fire station on Coldingham Road.

A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding is possible from the sea.

The warning will remain in place for the high tide in the early hours of Sunday morning, around 2.30am.

A statement from SEPA says: "Businesses near to the harbour and vessels moored within the harbour may be at risk."
