Thieves steal bikes worth £8k during raid on home in Peebles

Two electric dirt bikes worth £8,000 have been stolen from the garage of a house in Peebles.

It happened in the Glen Crescent area of town sometime between 2pm yesterday (Monday) and 7am this morning.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The bikes are both Surron QL30000DY models - one black with a yellow stripe and one blue with a yellow stripe.

Police Constable Scott Horsfall said: “Our enquires are ongoing to trace the bikes and those responsible for taking them.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, who has been offered the bikes for sale or who knows where they might be is asked to get in touch with officers.

“If you have information please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0518 of Tuesday, 3 October, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
