McFly, Lightning Seeds & UB40: Set times revealed as stage set for return of Edge Fest
More than 8,000 tickets sold for music festival at Lilliardsedge Holiday Park in the Scottish Borders
Last updated 30th Aug 2024
The stage is set for the return of the Borders biggest music festival.
McFly, Lightning Seeds and UB40 are among the headliners at Edge Fest, near Jedburgh, this weekend.
The first event attracted huge crowds to Lilliardsedge Holiday Park last year.
And more than 8,000 tickets have already been sold ahead of the campsite opening at 4pm today (Friday).
Organiser Stuart Macdonald (pictured top, with McFly) told Greatest Hits Radio: "None of us can quite believe we're here again; it doesn't feel like a year since the last time. But we're all really excited for what's to come!"
Callum Beattie was among the performers in the Big Top tent last year, and takes to the stage again on Sunday.
The Salamander Street singer is joined by the likes of Lucy Spraggan, who rose to fame on X Factor, Jake Bugg and Scouting for Girls; while Tunde Baiyewu, from Lighthouse Family, and Nathan Evans join the line-up on Saturday.
The full list of set times has now been confirmed...
Stuart said: "It was a great weekend last year, everybody really enjoyed it. It was obviously something new to the area, so we're hoping to be able to repeat that with something a little bit bigger this year.
"We spend almost the full year planning the event, it's pretty full on; and we've spent the last ten days building the site.
"Our main drive is we want to bring something to the area. Everyone travels to the likes of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Newcastle for these kind of shows, and we just wanted to bring something into the Borders so people weren't having to travel as far for it."
And he added: "Quite a few (of the performers) are staying in local hotels, so it's nice for them as well to get someone exciting coming through the door."
