A703 road north of Peebles blocked following reports of 'car in a ditch'

The A703 road has been blocked between Eddleston and Peebles following a crash involving two vehicles.
An eyewitness has reported seeing one car in a ditch.
Emergency services are currently on scene (3.55pm on Thursday).
There's also been a crash on the diversion route over the Meldons - and motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
The nearest alternative route is via the A701 by Blyth Bridge and Lamancha.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving two vehicles on the A703 near Eddleston around 3.20pm on Thursday (July 27th).
“The road is currently closed.”
