Police searching for an 86-year-old man reported missing in the Borders have found a body.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but officers say the family of James Cockburn have been informed.

The pensioner - also known as Jim - was last seen near his home in Town Yetholm on Thursday morning, although a further sighting was reported at a caravan park north of Ancrum later that evening.

Locals were asked to search their outbuildings for James as emergency services - including an air ambulance and Borders Water Rescue Team - scoured the area.
