Police issue appeal as bike thieves strike overnight in the Tweed Valley
Four bikes have been stolen from a shipping container in Traquair.
Police are appealing for help to trace four men and a white van seen in the area.
A red Honda motorbike, and three pedal bikes, were taken sometime between 4.30pm on Sunday (August 25th) and 8.25am this morning.
Five suspension forks and ten mountain bike tyres were also grabbed in the raid.
Police Scotland Craig Turnbull said: “We are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries to establish who is responsible.
“We are keen to trace four people who were seen in the area, along with a white van."
The bikes are described as:
• Red Honda Motor Bike, registration mark FH67 LGV
• Ibis Hakka Gravel Bike, multi green bar tape
• Scott Genius Bike, small size, gold Fox 38 forks, orange and purple headset spacers. Deathgrips Wolftooth seat posts
• YT Capra Mountain Bike, black in colour, medium in size
