Boy, 13, rushed to hospital following collision with car in Berwick
A 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Berwick.
It's understood the teenager had been attempting to cross the road in the Tweedmouth area of town when he was struck by the vehicle.
Emergency services raced to the scene - in the town's Northumberland Road - after the alarm was raised shortly before 9am this morning (Friday).
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to help officers with their enquiries - and they're appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended and a 13-year-old boy was found to have sustained injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the moments leading up to the collision or those with dashcam footage to come forward.
