Police launch probe after man found dead at home in Scottish Borders
An 81-year-old man has been found dead at an upmarket home in the Scottish Borders.
Police, fire and ambulance crews raced to the scene in Ancrum after the alarm was raised shortly after 6pm last night (Saturday).
And an area around the property in West Myrescroft was sealed off after a "possible harmful substance" was found inside.
Emergency services say there is no risk to the wider public, however police remain on guard outside this afternoon (Sunday), and the red and white tape remains in place.
Officers say the man's death is being treated as "unexplained", but it's not believed to be suspicious.
