Road closed following smash, as man charged in connection with separate incident

The A702 is closed in both directions just south of West Linton following a crash involving one vehicle.

It happened shortly before 10am this morning (Friday) - with traffic between Edinburgh and Biggar affected.

Police say there are no reports of any injuries.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with a two-vehicle crash on the A68, just south of St Boswells, around 1pm, yesterday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 1pm on Thursday, 13 April, to a report of a two vehicle crash on the A68 south of St Boswells.

“One of the drivers, a 20-year-old man, has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.”
