The A7 is closed between Hawick and Selkirk.

It follows reports of a crash between Galalaw Business Park and Ashkirk.

Police say two cars were involved in the incident, which happened around 4.30pm on Sunday.

Emergency services - including fire and ambulance crews - are in attendance.

And motorists are being urged to avoid the area.

According to Traffic Scotland, the crash happened near Groundistone Heights - not far from where Center Parcs is planning to build a new 700-lodge holiday village.

A Borders Buses spokesperson said: "Due to an accident between Selkirk and Hawick, we are having to divert our X95 service from Selkirk via St Boswells & Denholm then onto Hawick. Please expect delays.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

The condition of any casualties is unknown.
