A woman’s due to stand trial next month accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

It follows an incident alleged to have taken place on the A1, at its junction with the B6437, near Houndwood - on April 12th last year.

Shona Rhind is accused of causing her vehicle to enter onto a dual carriageway, into the path of oncoming vehicles - causing a collision and injuring a woman who was a passenger in another vehicle.

Rhind, who’s 52 and from Eyemouth, denied the charge at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today and the case was continued to trial on June the 8th.
