'Several people taken to hospital' following crash on A1

The A1 remains blocked following a crash involving two vehicles near Cockburnspath.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Berwickshire - near its border with East Lothian - after the alarm was raised around 10.35am this morning (Tuesday).
An air ambulance from Glasgow touched down near the Coldingham turn-off shortly after, before departing for Edinburgh Royal Infirmary around an hour later.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.35am this morning, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on the A1 near Cockburnspath.
"Emergency services attended and several people were taken to hospital.
"The road is currently closed."
It's the latest in a series of smashes on our region's roads in recent weeks.
On Sunday, three people died following a collision involving two motorcycles on the A6088 near the Carter Bar.
