Pensioner in hospital following A1 smash
An 87-year-old man's being treated in hospital following a two-car crash on the A1.
The cross-border route was closed between Dunbar and Cockburnspath for around four hours following the incident, which happened around 3pm on Sunday.
Police say enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, we were called to a report of a two-car crash on the A1 between Dunbar and Cockburnspath.
“Emergency services attended and an 87-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
“The road was closed for around four hours to allow for investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
