A 27-year-old man from Wolverhampton is appearing in court today charged with multiple offences, including the theft of an Audi from East Park.

Police were called at around 7pm on Friday (1 August) after the vehicle was reported stolen from Old Heath Lane.

Shortly afterwards, officers spotted a car matching the description on Darlaston Road.

When the vehicle failed to stop, it was pursued through the local area to Parkfields, where a man was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.

Jiri Fedak has since been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified.

He also faces an additional charge of attempted burglary, relating to an incident on 22 June in which individuals were reportedly seen trying to break into a garage on Upper Zoar Street.

Fedak is scheduled to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 4 August).
